In his glitter series, the interior of the black frame is dusted in glitter that subtly catches the light. Comparatively, Taylor incorporates bright colour on the outside of his frame, as seen in his David Hockney’s Pool prints, and inside the frame which can surprise the viewer depending on their standing position. This unique style of framing highlights the sense of excess and play within his collection.

During the painting process of Meet Me in Matisse’s Garden, Benjamin explains “I often listen to Miles Davis and blues albums”, emulating the rhythms of the music within the expressive and fluid composition.
