About Axel Crieger
American-German artist and photographer Axel Crieger crafts striking theatrical images, blending diverse elements to evoke decadence, danger, or desire. His work, characterized by unexpected juxtapositions, elicits both thought and amusement, weaving curious and compelling narratives that embody what Entertainment Weekly hailed as ‘the grammar of glamour.’ Inspired by luxury brands he’s collaborated with, particularly the iconic Chanel No.5 bottle, Crieger’s latest collection pays homage to Coco Chanel’s timeless design, echoing Andy Warhol’s approach to myth-making. Each glossy, glamorous interpretation places the bottle at the narrative's core, offering surreal perspectives on our cultural landscape.
