Founded by Ellena at 24, Studio 74 set out to be different from the start. Four years later, it's the only UK gallery representing Christy Lee Rogers exclusively a relationship that led to a major takeover of Oxford Street, 300 screens strong, and one of the most talked-about shows London saw that year. The gallery has also used its platform for more than spectacle: a major solo show honouring the late artist Stony, held in support of brain tumour research, stands as one of the most meaningful exhibitions in Studio 74's history. Back in Bristol, the gallery itself carries the same energy as everything it shows, an elegantly designed space, built to feel as creative and alive as the artists within it.

Studio 74 works closely with the family estate of Stony, preserving and sharing the legacy of an artist whose work extends far beyond its visual impact. Following his diagnosis with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, Stony's work took on an even greater sense of urgency and honesty. Themes of mortality, self-worth, identity, and human connection became increasingly present, resulting in works that resonate deeply with audiences navigating their own challenges and uncertainties.

Studio 74 doesn't wait for the art world to tell us who matters, we go and find out for ourselves. That's how we ended up as Christy Lee Rogers' only UK gallery: an artist praised by James Cameron, whose work we believed deserved more than a gallery wall, so we gave it 300 screens on Oxford Street instead.
