Internationally acclaimed artist Christy Lee Rogers returns to the UK with Myths and Legends, an awe-inspiring exhibition that reimagines classical mythology through light, colour, and motion. Her work explores themes of freedom, vulnerability, and transcendence. She uses her underwater environment as both a literal and symbolic space where light and emotion intertwine. Rogers views water as a metaphor for life’s chaos and beauty—an element through which her subjects are both liberated and transformed. 

Blending ancient stories with contemporary themes, Rogers explores universal human emotions—love, courage, and the search for meaning. Known for her painterly, Baroque-inspired aesthetic, her work has appeared in Vogue, CNN, Harper’s Bazaar, and The Independent. She won the Sony World Photography Award (2019) and has collaborated with Disney, James Cameron, Apple, and Lavazza.

Transforming the façade of W1 Curates on Oxford Street, Rogers’ luminous underwater figures will appear across 300 LED screens, turning the city’s most iconic street into a spectacular theatre of light. Inside, visitors will encounter large-scale underwater photographs that reinterpret mythological heroes, lovers, and seekers as modern emotional figures suspended between chaos and grace.

In partnership with Studio 74 Contemporary Art, Myths and Legends is more than an exhibition—it’s an immersive experience celebrating the enduring power of myth and the beauty of the human spirit.

To celebrate the final night of Christy Lee Rogers’ breathtaking exhibition, a special closing party will be held on Friday, 3 December, from 7–10 pm. Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of art, light, and celebration, with complimentary drinks and a vibrant atmosphere as the gallery and Oxford Street come alive with Rogers’ luminous underwater creations one last time. 

The evening’s highlight will be a personal talk by Christy Lee Rogers, offering rare insight into her creative process, inspirations, and the stories behind her mesmerising underwater worlds. This exclusive event marks a joyful finale to an unforgettable exhibition.
