Hackney-based artist STIK has emerged as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary urban art, admired by cultural commentators, collectors, and social activists alike. His internationally recognised motif — the refined, evolved stick figure — has become an enduring symbol of empathy and human connection.

Entirely self-taught, STIK has remained unwavering in his commitment to a deliberately reductive visual language. Drawing stick figures from early childhood, he has never departed from the disciplined simplicity that now defines his oeuvre. His androgynous figures first appeared discreetly on the walls of Hackney Wick in the early 2000s, before extending into Shoreditch and gradually establishing a presence across London — and, ultimately, far beyond it.
