Anna Mazzotta | Art Collection
Artist Genre
Bristol based artist Anna Mazzotta has an undeniable talent, with an utterly irresistible, colourful, humorous and sometimes risque style.
Anna recalls the glamour of a long lost era. Painting from her imagination and heavily influenced by the hedonism and voluptuousness of a golden age of cabaret and cinema, Anna's work is both intimate and playful. Her work reflects the human condition of her characters, revealing a myriad of emotions which delivers compelling art with a unique depth that often shows something new at each viewing. Never a follower of any trend, Anna has an innate talent to share the complex emotions of the moment.
Achievements
Anna's award-winning works proudly feature in a range of national and international collections. She was featured on the Graham Norton show, presenting Jane Fonda with her own portrait. She is also one of the youngest winners of the prestigious Jerwood Drawing Prize, for originality and excellence.
"My painting is a way of seeing the world, thinking, feeling, showing sensations, not just the mechanics of a scene, but instead emphasizing energy, life and letting the inner emotion of the characters shine forth."
