LUAP

Collection: LUAP

LUAP (Paul Robinson) is a British multidisciplinary artist based in London whose work has been exhibited internationally at leading galleries and art fairs, and collected by major institutions and private collectors.

Central to his practice is The Pink Bear—a symbolic character inspired by a childhood memory rediscovered through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Existing between reality and imagination, The Pink Bear explores themes of identity, mental health, aspiration, and human connection.

Working across painting, sculpture, photography, and performance, LUAP blends elements of Pop Art, Hyperrealism, and Abstract Expressionism to create a distinctive visual language. His vibrant, emotionally charged works combine classical techniques with contemporary ideas, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences and perceptions.

Adventure is also integral to LUAP’s creative process. From the glaciers of Chile to the vast landscapes of Mongolia, his travels to some of the world’s most extreme environments inspire powerful narratives around resilience, climate change, and humanity’s relationship with nature.

Through The Pink Bear, LUAP continues to challenge boundaries and spark meaningful conversations, creating work that resonates across cultures while encouraging reflection, connection, and dialogue.
