About Jim Dowie
Jim Dowie specialises in portraying our much loved icons from unique sequences and formations formed by the whorls and ridges of acrylic paint, creating each work to feel 3D and move as you do. At close examination each feature reveals that the immaculate detail is the result of a seemingly haphazard linear journey through a wide spectrum of light and energy. Jim describes his non-uniform linear structure quite simply as ‘the art of line”.
