Tim Fowler

Collection: Tim Fowler

Tim Fowler is a contemporary artist known for his large-scale, semi-abstract works and expressive studies that use bold colour, texture, and tone to evoke emotion and invite viewer interpretation. Influenced early on by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Fowler transitioned from hobbyist to professional artist, graduating with a BA in Fine Art. His process involves intuitive layering of mixed media, including oil, acrylic, spray paint, and graffiti ink, often using unconventional tools.

His “Memento Mori – 100 Skulls” project, where he painted 100 skulls live in a week, was a breakthrough, selling out within hours. The skulls symbolize stripped-down identity, expressed through vivid, energetic abstraction. Fowler also explores botanical themes, inspired by Caribbean heritage and residencies with institutions like Touchlight Genetics and visits to Kew Gardens.

His work, which blends themes of nature, identity, and cultural history, has been collected by notable individuals and organizations across the UK, Europe, and the USA.
